Lorenzo ISD is seeking a dedicated and student-focused individual to serve as a Student Support Assistant and Behavioral Support. This position supports students with behavioral and disciplinary needs in both short-term (ISS) and alternative education (DAEP) placements. The aide works closely with administrators, teachers, and support staff to provide supervision, promote positive behavior strategies, and maintain a structured, respectful learning environment.

Provide supervision and academic support to students assigned to ISS or DAEP

Reinforce behavioral expectations using consistent and restorative practices

Monitor student behavior and de-escalate disruptive or unsafe situations appropriately

Collaborate with teachers to provide access to instructional materials and assignments

Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and progress

Support the implementation of individualized behavior plans as needed

Assist in crisis intervention and provide support to students transitioning back to the classroom
