Position Overview
All Saints Episcopal School in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Middle and Lower School Counselor to support the academic, emotional, and social well-being of students. This role is essential in fostering a positive school environment where students feel safe, valued, and empowered to navigate the challenges of their developmental stages. Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to support students' emotional, social, and academic development.
- Assist students in developing coping strategies, conflict resolution skills, and healthy decision-making.
- Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to address student concerns and implement effective support plans.
- Develop and implement programs that promote mental health awareness and character education for both lower and middle school students.
- Facilitate workshops and presentations on topics such as stress management, peer relationships, emotional regulation, and academic success.
- Support students during key transition periods, including the move from lower to middle school and middle to upper school.
- Identify students who may require additional resources and provide referrals to external support services when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and accurate records in compliance with school policies and ethical guidelines.
- Contribute to a positive school culture by promoting inclusivity, respect, and student well-being.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide events.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid Texas certification as a School Counselor (or ability to obtain certification).
- Experience working with lower and middle school students in a counseling or educational setting.
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, behavioral interventions, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and faculty.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, discretion, and professionalism.
- Knowledge of mental health resources and best practices for student support.
- Familiarity with school counseling technology and data-driven approaches to student success.
