Ralls ISD is seeking a creative and passionate Secondary Art Teacher to inspire and engage students in visual arts education. The ideal candidate will foster an appreciation for artistic expression, develop students' technical skills, and encourage creativity through a dynamic curriculum. This individual should be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Teaching Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state and district art education standards.
  • Teach a variety of artistic techniques and mediums, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
  • Encourage creativity and critical thinking through student-led projects and discussions.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress through portfolios, projects, and performance-based assessments.
  • Maintain a well-organized and safe classroom environment.
  • Organize student artwork displays and participate in school and community art events.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certification in Art (Grades 6-12 or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching art at the secondary level (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and art history.
  • Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for fostering creativity and artistic expression in students.
