Job Description
Ralls ISD is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dyslexia Teacher to provide specialized instruction and support to students with dyslexia and related learning differences. The ideal candidate will implement research-based interventions to help students develop literacy skills and succeed academically. This individual should be committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Teaching Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction to students with dyslexia using structured literacy programs and interventions.
- Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, administrators, and support staff to develop individualized learning plans.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and intervention strategies.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and strategies for support.
- Participate in ongoing professional development related to dyslexia education and intervention strategies.
- Ensure compliance with state and district guidelines for dyslexia services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field.
- Valid Texas Teaching Certification.
- Certification or training in dyslexia intervention programs (Reading by Design) preferred.
- Experience working with students with dyslexia and literacy challenges.
- Strong understanding of structured literacy and multi-sensory teaching techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
