Smyer ISD has a newly created part-time assistant band director position for the 2024-2025 school year. Smyer ISD is a successful 2A program located in West Texas, half day between Lubbock and Levelland.
This position would be the 2nd assistant position for Smyer ISD Bands. 4 period schedule requested. Preferred scheduling would be approximately, 10:30 am – 3:00 pm. Scheduling flexible with extra evening rehearsals, games, concerts, and contests.
Duties include the following:
- Assist with the HS Marching Band/ Concert Band
- Assist with 7th Grade, 6th Grade, and Beginning Bands
- Aide with All-Region and Solo Ensemble Prep during the school day
- Possibly assist with the Jazz Band
- Assistance at Competitions and Football Games Flexible
