The Math Instructional Coach will play a key role in implementing the Strong Foundations Implementation Grant by supporting high-quality math instruction across grades K–8, including Algebra I. This role is designed to build teacher capacity in using high-quality instructional materials (HQIM), fostering conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and problem-solving through aligned, rigorous mathematics instruction. The coach will provide direct support to teachers and campus teams to improve student achievement and build sustainable systems of instructional excellence.

Provide instructional coaching and job-embedded professional learning for teachers in mathematics across grades K–8 and Algebra I.

Support lesson internalization, curriculum alignment, and effective implementation of TEKS-aligned HQIM (e.g., Eureka Math, Carnegie Learning, or similar).

Facilitate coaching cycles, including observation, modeling, co-teaching, and feedback conversations focused on math content and pedagogy.

Collaborate with campus leaders and teachers to develop and monitor instructional plans that address student needs using formative and summative assessment data.

Lead campus-based professional development in math instruction, including support for math intervention strategies and small-group instruction.

Work with district leaders and ESC support teams to fulfill all components of the Strong Foundations grant, including coaching calibration, data tracking, and continuous improvement.

Serve as a content leader in vertical alignment of math instruction from elementary through Algebra I to support long-term student success in advanced coursework.
