6th Grade Teacher--Reading and Social Studies

6th Grade is on our elementary side at Smyer.

2025-2026 School Year

 General Description:

• Two 6th Classes (an Advanced group and on-grade level group)
• TIA District based on MAP growth and TTESS (At Smyer Elementary we have currently 4 Master Teachers, 4 Exemplary Teachers, and 1 Recognized Teacher. TIA teachers receive payments of $6000+-$22,000+ yearly!) 
• Small Class Sizes

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for grade level, ESL certification preferred
