Jayton-Girard ISD – Elementary Teacher (1st Grade position) Jayton-Girard ISD is seeking a 1st Grade teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from accredited university

• A valid and current Texas teaching certification

• Knowledge and skills necessary to optimize learning for students

• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

• State required training in the Science of Reading

  Preferred Qualifications

• Experience is preferred, but not required

Related Information

• Length of the contract: 10-months

• Pay scale: state base + $5,500 + 12%

• Starting date is August 1, 2025

• Possible school housing is available (rentable)

• Open until filled
