Ralls ISD is seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Girls' Basketball Coach with a secondary core teaching position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the girls’ basketball program, developing student-athletes both on and off the court, and fulfilling teaching responsibilities in a core subject area. This individual should be committed to fostering a positive and competitive environment while upholding the values and mission of our school district.
Teaching Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging instruction in a secondary core subject area (e.g., Math, Science, English, Social Studies).

Create a positive classroom environment that supports student learning and achievement.

Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed.

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.

Maintain accurate records and adhere to school policies and curriculum standards.
Coaching Responsibilities:

Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of the girls’ basketball program, including practices, games, and offseason workouts.

Develop athletes' skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Implement effective game strategies and conditioning programs.

Supervise and mentor assistant coaches and support staff.

Monitor academic progress and promote student success in the classroom.

Ensure compliance with district, conference, and state athletic regulations.

Foster a culture of respect, discipline, and personal growth.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
-
Valid [State] Teaching Certification in a secondary core subject.

Coaching experience at the high school level (preferred).

Strong knowledge of basketball fundamentals, strategy, and player development.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Commitment to student-athlete academic success and character development.
