Ralls ISD is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as Head Girls Softball Coach and Core Subject Teacher for the upcoming school year.

Position Overview: This unique position offers the opportunity to lead our girls' softball program while also contributing to the academic success of our students as a core subject teacher. We are looking for a passionate educator and coach who can inspire and motivate young athletes and learners.
Responsibilities:
As Head Girls Softball Coach:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive softball program for grades 9-12, including practice plans, game strategies, and conditioning.
- Foster a positive and competitive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and individual growth.
- Oversee all aspects of the softball program, including scheduling, equipment management, and budget.
- Ensure compliance with all UIL rules and regulations.
- Collaborate with parents, school administration, and Booster Club to promote the program.
- Act as a positive role model for student-athletes, demonstrating integrity, discipline, and a strong work ethic.
- Supervise assistant coaches and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Participate in fundraising activities as needed.
As Core Subject Teacher (Specific subject dependent on certification and district need):
- Deliver engaging and effective instruction in a core subject area (e.g., Math, Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies) to students in grades 6-12 (specific grade levels to be determined).
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS).
- Assess student learning and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and effective learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and behavior.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
- Adhere to all district policies and procedures.
